Led all written storytelling across divisions at the Institute, elevating website content and profile of the Institute. Web traffic increased 13-50% year over year. Garnered media coverage in national and global outlets including NPR, BBC, Nature, Science, Scientific American, WIRED, AP, Forbes.
Wrote breaking news, large announcements, enterprise feature stories, patient profiles. Several stories recognized with regional and national writing awards.
Produced and co-hosted Lab Notes, the Institute’s podcast. Launched new audio storytelling format for the Institute; key episodes include interviews with novelist Yaa Gyasi and consciousness expert Christof Koch.
Managed and edited summer editorial intern position.
Launched and led SciComm@Allen, a science communication training and interest group for staff.

Wrote one to two stories per week for public-facing website and feature stories for quarterly Hutch Magazine (circulation 60k). News stories led to media coverage from The New York Times, Discover, STAT, HealthDay, Geekwire, and others.
